Being 9 to 5 Chic

Hello people

dsc_0580.jpgWe all would like to take our workplace by storm be with with our work or with our impeccable style. Over the years my idea of being chic at work has definitely changed from miles and bounds. I have been more on the client side previously and had a definite dress code to follow but not any more. Form fitted silhouettes continue to be my favourites when it comes to work wear. Blending fun patterns like Aztec, abstract or floral with lace, bow or ruffles details is my kind of being #bossbabe. DSC_0611.JPGAs much as I love a button down shirt tucked seamlessly with crop pants, I am cozying up to the the idea of mixing up the collar with a blouse. This look I sported today to my work gave me the perfect head start for my week. It has cute floral lace details around the sleeves. I chose a pencil skirt instead of a cropped pant. The floral motif on the skirt gives the right synergy to the floral lace details on the top. High waisted with Ombre effect and at less than $30 I had no reason not to buy it.DSC_0587.JPGThe black and white look needed elevation with some colour. Thanks to the burgundy pumps which matches the bag and the tear drop earrings.
